Roero’s geology consists of mixed sand, frail sedimentary rock of marine origin, with an abundance of limestone and clay. Erosion, due to the action of water, has encouraged the building of the local fortresses with their have steep flanks and unique structures. The typical rural landscape of Roero is one of variety; in its crops, flora, products and colors which shift with the season.
There is a continuous alternation of vineyards, forests and cultivated fields, which present a rich mosaic for the eye.
A perfect setting for a perfect wine. In addition to the red wines (Nebbiolo and Barbera) a choice collection of high quality white wine is produced (Favorita and Arneis).
